| So the install is really pretty basic. It
installs the same way as stock basically, but
at the end you adjust your set screws based
on when you gun fires and when the trigger resets.
Here it is....step by step.
1. Remove your air supply line from the bottom
of the trigger frame.
2. Remove the trigger frame from the body of
the gun. There are two pins that hold it on.
3. Remove the three phillips heads screws that
hold the trigger frame halves together.
4. Separate the two halves of the trigger frame
and replace your old trigger guard with your
new Flexie Double Trigger Guard.
5. Now put your trigger frame back together
by combining the two halves of the trigger frame,
and reinstall the three screws that hold it
together.
6. Separate the two plates of your upper trigger
assembly. The "upper trigger assembly"
is what sits in the trigger frame that holds
both the trigger and the sear.
7. Remove the pin that the stock trigger pivots
on. It should just slide out one side. Replace
it with the silver pin that comes with the A5
Fang Trigger. If you do not use this pin that
we include you may damage your trigger bearings.
8. Install the needed set-screw into the face
of the trigger.
- If you are installing the trigger onto
an R/T frame you need to use the smaller set
screw, of the two included set screws, and
you need to install it into the top
hole in the face of the trigger.
- If you are using an E-Trigger or a stock
mechanical trigger you need use the longer
set screw and install it into the
top hole in the face of the
trigger.
9. At this point I recommend that you apply
a small amount of either red or blue loctite
to the set screw that comes pre-installed in
the top/front portion of the trigger, and to
the set screw that you just installed into the
face of the trigger. If you use red loctite
be careful that you don't use too much. Red
loctite is considered permanent and it could
be difficult to remove or adjust your set screws
in the future if you use too much. If you use
blue loctite you will not have this issue, but
your set screws could come out of adjustment
if it does not dry well. So you decide which
you prefer. I personally prefer to use just
a little bit of red. Using a full "drop"
on either set screw of the red type is 4 times
too much. Just a dab will do.
10. Adust the face set screw so that its flush
with the front face of the trigger. Adjust the
top set screw so that the top of the set screw
is flush with the top of the trigger.
11. Install the trigger into the trigger assembly,
and put trigger plates back together.
12. Place the trigger assembly back into the
trigger frame.
13. Re-install the trigger frame back on to
the body.
14. Re-install the air supply line back onto
the bottom of the trigger frame.
15. Place the TechT Sticker on the outside
of your loader.
Fine tuning the set screws
If you adjusted the set screws correctly so
far, your trigger should activate and de-activate
the micro switch of your e-trigger, and or should
release the sear if you pull the trigger with
either your E-trigger or standard mechanical
trigger.
Now, pull and hold the trigger with one hand.
With the other hand ....adjust the top/front
"forward stop" set screw clockwise
until you feel the set screw pushing the trigger
further back. This pushes the trigger backwards
towards the activation point of the trigger.
Once the set screw is holding the trigger back,
adjust the set screw counter clockwise until
you hear the trigger reset. The trigger will
literally make a clicking sound when it resets.
From the exact point that it resets, go out
another 1/4 turn minimum to ensure that the
trigger resets correctly all the time. Not going
out enough will mean that your trigger may not
reset after every pull. You know this is the
case if your trigger wont reset and you can
push your trigger forward to reset it.
To adjust the set screw in the face of the
trigger its a trial and error process of pulling
the trigger and having it actually fire the
marker. If it fires, turn the face set screw
in a full turn. Try to fire again, if it fires,
adjust the set screw in another full turn....if
and when it doesn't, come in 1/4 turn increments
until it does fire.
The objective is to adjust the trigger so that
it fires the gun every time you pull the trigger,
and the length of the trigger pull is what you
want. Some people like longer trigger pulls,
while other people like super short trigger
pulls.
We will be offering softer springs for Tippmann
triggers very soon, until then try using a "clicky
pen's" spring as a trigger return spring.
It should work nice with the e-triggers.
Now give the loctite time to dry. I suggest
24 hours. Some types of loctite cure quicker
than others.
I hope you enjoy your trigger.
Let me know if you have any questions,
