I received the 9-piece iFit barrel kit when I attended Paintball Extravaganza in Anaheim, California in September 2010. Ever since then, any game I have played, the iFit kit has come with me. It's now an integral part of my Planet Eclipse Etek2 setup. The first day I used the iFit kit, I was playing Training Day VI at Fox Paintball in Illinois. I was using a friends Etek2 at the time, and shooting Draxxus Bronze. When I chrono'd my marker at the start of the day using just the stock .693 barrel back, the shots were sitting around 275-285fps. I was reasonably happy with that although the barrel was slightly oversized, and my groupings weren't the best. Anyway, I took the marker out and played for the first hour or so like that with the stock barrel. I'd lay a rope of paint down, and the paint wasn't so much a rope. More like a spray. I had a few kills and was reasonably happy. Then after about an hour or so, the humidity levels rose, and my goggles started to fog. So I exited the field to give my goggles a clean. As I was rummaging around my bag looking for my microfibre cloth, I stumbled upon the TechT iFit kit, and thought "What better time to test it out?" So I aired down and powered down my marker, took the barrel off, and grabbed the iFit adapter sleeve out of it's case. I opened a fresh bag of the Draxxus Bronze and proceeded to size up the paint. I took 5 balls out of the bag and started with the .692 insert which the paint basically dropped through without even touching the sides. Next size down. I pulled out the .688 insert out and proceeded to drop balls through. Again 4 out of the 5 balls dropped straight through. Next size down. I put the .688 insert back in it's protective case and took out the .685 insert. The first ball dropped straight through, but the other 4 sat nicely in the insert before I gently puffed them out the end. I put those 5 balls in my hopper and grabbed 5 more out of the bag. This time all 5 sat nicely in the insert, and I puffed them out as I had previously. "Cool" I thought to myself as I screwed the sleeve with the .685 onto the back of the stock barrel. As I walked to the chrono area, I looked at it on the back of the barrel and admired how cool it looked. The marker I was using was a black Etek2, so the sleeve blended in quite well with the rest of the marker. It just looked like there was a part on the back of the barrel that had TECHT stamped on it, and the iFit logo at the back. Because it was on a black marker, you really wouldn't even know it was there unless you had a good look, or caught a glimpse of the hole milled into either side of the sleeve with the bright blue of the .685 insert showing through. Anyway, I fired a few clearing shots before putting it over the chrono, and was surprised at how much straighter the balls went before dropping off. I fired a few more just to check, and yep, they definitely flew much straighter than before. Impressed so far, I put the marker over the chrono and fired off five shots. 289, 287, 291, 289, 289 . . . After resetting the chrono to make sure it was reading properly, I fired another few clearing shots and put five more over the chrono. 287, 288, 292, 294, 289. So just by sizing up the paint, I had gained around 10fps on average from my shots. Returning from the chrono area with a smile on my face, I loaded up my pods and went back out onto the field. The rest of the day consisted of me throwing ROPES of paint around the field. Not SPRAYS, but ROPES. The difference the iFit kit made to the shot grouping was amazing when compared to the stock barrel by itself. I'd heard the term "shooting darts" used before, but never had I been able to justify using it. But that's exactly how I described it to my friend at the end of the days play. He just smiled at me as if to say "Yeah, right, ok." So I took him over to the chrono area, took the iFit off the back of the barrel, and got him to shoot at the tree I was aiming at before. Same spray of paint he was used to, that I saw at the start of the day where maybe 30% hit the tree. I then took the barrel off and screwed the iFit onto it and said "NOW give it a rattle." He blazed off a few shots at the tree, which 90% hit their mark. He turned and looked at me, then turned back at the tree. He emptied the hopper at the tree, and again hit the tree 90% of the time. He handed me back the marker as we walked away from the chrono area. As he lifted his mask, I saw the look of disbelief on his face before he said "So how much did you say that iFit kit was? . . . "
