TechT Upgrades for the Tippmann TCR
|
The Tippmann TCR is newer addition to the Tippmann Family of paintball markers. Internally, it's very similar to their handgun TIPX, but they updated to be slightly bigger and better. When making the TCR, Tippmann was going for a newer, more realistic looking marker, that was MAG FED. As with anything Tippmann, it's durable, and comes with a good company backing it.
Out of the box, the TCR looks really cool, and anything MAG FED is really cool for those looking for a more realistic option. As far as how it actually performs, it's an "ok" marker at best. It's not great, but it's ok. It shoots, but it's a loud marker, has some very noticeable kick, to it's stock barrel accuracy is not as good as it could be. The TCR does not have an eye system, so chopping paintballs in the breech is possible. The stock barrel is a one piece barrel that is.692 in bore size. A barrel that is .692 is WAY too big for most paint on the market. Sure, it will technically shoot the paint, but a lot of air is wasted, and goes around the ball. The ball can literally roll down the barrel with ease. Because of this loose paint to barrel fit, the groupings are all over the place.
